This software offers the ability to display a large timer that counts down time to the end of each segment in your event. After placing a computer monitor on the stage, your speaker, band, emcee, and all other onstage people can keep an eye on the countdown timer so they know when their time is up. The program will countdown using one of two methods: 1) you can input the exact time of day that you want the segment to end, and it will automatically calculate how many minutes are left until that time; or, 2) you can enter the number of minutes that you want the clock to count down to zero. The program also has the functionality to type a message to be displayed to the people onstage (while continuing to count down on the given segment). The Countdown Clock is built so that the software program is viewable on your desktop in a minimized window, so you can interact with other software programs on your computer while controlling the countdown clock. This is the first version of the Countdown Clock available to the public, but it is the exact same version that we use at every event that OtB helps to produce. We plan on releasing new versions of the Countdown Clock with added features in the coming months and years. Quick Help Guide - How does it work???
-- After downloading the program, read the "Installation Instructions" before installing and running the software program. This will help you set your screen/monitor settings correctly.
-- Using a long VGA cable, connect an external monitor (any computer screen) to your laptop's VGA port (which has 15 little holes in it). Place the secondary monitor on your stage - somewhere visible where your band, pastor, emcee, or anyone on stage can see it. Use your laptop to control the time, and the external monitor will display a full screen view of the time.
-- Enter the minutes and seconds into the top row "Countdown (F2)" spaces. Click the Countdown button, or press F2 on your keyboard. The clock will begin counting down.
-- OR, you can count down to a time of day. Be sure your computer clock is set correctly. Enter the exact hour and minute that you want the segment to end. NOTE: This feature is in ARMY TIME, so 7:30pm would be entered as: 19hr 30min. Click the Clock button or press F3 on your keyboard.
