June 2008

To think or act “outside the box” is to do something or think of something radical, unexpected and out of the norm. I can’t think of a better way to describe the ministry that Rolly Richert leads. He and his awesome team live, breathe and operate in the realm of the unexpected. How do I know? I’m one of the ministry beneficiaries of their absolute creativity and hard work.

As the leader of Dare 2 Share Ministries, I have the privilege of training and equipping tens of thousands of teenagers from across America to know, live and share their faith. We do weekend training events for anywhere between 3,000-9,000 teenagers nine times a year across the country. As a result, God is raising up an army of student evangelists who are taking the gospel back to their campuses and neighborhoods.

But we at Dare 2 Share could not do what we do if Outside the Box did not do what they do. OtB works by our side to prayerfully create, organize and execute these mega-training events across the country. They design the program in such a way so it has a maximum impact on the teenagers who attend. Here is Caroline’s story (taken from my blog) to give you a taste of the impact of the conference:

“My name is Caroline and I was at Dare 2 Share in Chicago. That was my first time at a Dare 2 Share and it was awesome! I plan on going back next year and getting a bunch of my friends to come with me. This past weekend really changed my life and my relationship with God is so much stronger and I just wanted to thank you and the rest of your team members for making my life with Christ so much better! My friend who also went to Dare 2 Share we were talking last night and we are so excited to share our love for Christ with other people and hopefully have them except Christ also so they can feel the love for Christ that me and my friend do. I will let you know how everything is going in a week or so. Thank you so much for all you’ve done for me! God Bless!!!!”

If you look on my blog (gregstier.org) you will see hundreds of comments from teenagers who have been impacted by the Dare 2 Share training conference. OtB purposely keeps their rates affordable knowing that ministries like ours can’t afford what they could easily charge. But they depend on their donors (aka “you”) to subsidize their generosity toward us with your generosity toward them.

We could not do what we do without Outside the Box and they could not do what they do without you. I urge you to give (or continue to give) generously and sacrificially to OtB. Your gift is making a difference through them to us and tons of ministries like us to impact a generation with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Thank you for making an investment in teenagers through Outside the Box Ministries.
